"Avoid multiple page redirects"

Hello,

I’ve been having redirect issues with my site for the past week or so. Google Page Speed Insights shows that when hitting the URL directly, it bounces to the non-HTTPS WWW version, then to the HTTPS WWW version.

See here:

Here are my Domain settings in Webflow:

And here are my DNS settings in CloudFlare:

I believe this is also related to intermittent “too many redirect” browser errors.

I considered making the WWW not the default domain, but that breaks the site entirely throwing 301 too many redirects on every page load. So I’m a bit lost on where to go from here.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey there

I got the exact same problem…

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Same problem here. Is there no solution? Seems like a pretty big problem :frowning:

Are you getting a browser error saying too many redirects? If you are not then ignore the google speed insight error message.

I don’t see your website showing too many redirect errors when I visit it on my browser.

Pagespeed Insights says that to everyone who has a redirect from http to https rule in place.

When I checked your website with https://redirectdetective.com/ everything is fine. It is only showing one redirect which is what you want.

Nothing to worry about.

Anybody else looking at this problem? I’ve tried several websites and the redirects and 301 page error is a consistent one. (my url is brighteye.design) Below is what redirect detective is saying.

@brighteye - If your published URL includes www and is set to default, then you are going to have redirects when you omit the subdomain. In that case (webflow default), you should be including the subdomain when linking / sharing your site.
