Autofit text size to fill container

Previously, the “logo” on my site was an SVG image with a width of 100%: adjusting its size to fill the width of the page. I’ve decided to change it from an SVG to text to make it more accessible and now I have a problem. While I can set the text container to be 100% width, the text size itself has to be manually set. I can get close to the right size in one browser size by slowly incrementing, but this isn’t responsive or fluid at all when the browser size changes (as the size is relative to the text height instead of the text width). Any ideas?
