Auto-Populating Company Data for Job Posts in Webflow

Hello Webflow Community,

I am working on a job board website that integrates Memberstack and Webflow. The platform enables companies to create a profile and post multiple job openings over time.

Our website: Job Board X - Webflow Ecommerce website template

We have structured our content into two separate CMS collections—one for company profiles and another for job posts.

Here’s what we wish to achieve:

  • Persistent Company Profiles: When a company representative completes their profile for the first time and returns to post another job, we want their previously entered details to be auto-filled on the job posting form and move to the next tab. This is the form they encounter: Post A Job Copy
  • Editable Profile Details: If they need to update any information, they can edit their profile details from the same form, and the CMS item should be updated accordingly.
  • Display Company Information: We also intend to display the company’s details on job description pages, like here: Mobile Product Manager - Job Board X - Webflow Ecommerce website template

Could anyone guide me on how to:

  1. Prepopulate the job posting form with the company’s existing profile details.
  2. Ensure that edits to the form update the corresponding company profile in the CMS.
  3. Display related company information on individual job post pages.

I appreciate any insights or resources that could help realize this functionality. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!

Best regards, Sheharyar Ahmad

This is not going to happen on Webflow without you using third party tools to connect with the API. The API has limits that make this a no go if you have any real volume on your site. You can investigate those in the API documentation.

You might find success with MAKE (formerly integromat) or Zapier. There are other platforms that can also work that are less expensive.

You also might want to look into using Wized and another data source but SEO can be an issue there.

Personally I find greater success using alternate platforms than Webflow, but you can be the judge of that. Good luck.
