Applying line spacing on a rich text block

Okay, so I have tried to find a solution to a problem for a few hours now, and I have given up finding it on google. I’m hoping to have some better luck here on the forums.

For some unknown reason, I can’t apply line-height on a rich text block. As you can see on the archive template(cms) page, the text(poem) crashes into itself. For esthetic purposes I want greater spacing applied on the text template(cms).
