Add Entire page into a collection

Here i want to have different categories layed out in collections/featured collections, e.g BlogPosts and Books

Im goin to put a more button under each collection that i want it to bring me to a page with all my blog posts,
And when you click on a post it brings you into that post

I want to design entirely each of these pages myself, the page with all blog posts, and each page for individual blog posts

All i want to do in collection is choose which posts to show in my featured collection,
Have new pages that i create go into the page with Blog Posts,

Ive been going through the tutorials and im not sure if im missing something but
Are you able to add an entire page you have created into a collection adn not have the page create itself when you add the elements like in the tutorial?

Help much appreciated!
