About Dropdown animation

I would like to create dropdown interaction as in dropdown opens.
With reference video attached below,

Creating Dropdown menu slide animations in Webflow - Tutorial

The tutor say I need to make dropdown list overflow hidden to make the dropdown animation work…

But the content is cut off so it looks clumsy…

Should I set the dropdown list overflow hidden to create the animation?
