Ever since Finsweet made their cookie controller 10 dollars a month I’ve been looking for a good alternative. Unfortunately everything seems to be based on Finsweet’s version of the cookie controller and not working anymore.
My clients mainly use very basic Google Analytics so it doesn’t need to be anything too pro. It’s a real headache to tell the client the Webflow pricing and then adding 120 dollars on top of that for a frickin’ cookie controller…
I am in the EU so I need to have an opt-out option for cookies. What cookie controller are you using?
This is the one I’ve used with a usable good free tier. Most CMPs cost 5-15$ per month. Expect them to become paid only after a few years too though.
That said, my current implementations of the old finsweet cookie banner still works and will continue to work until something needs to be updated, since the code of the last version is available and hosted on a CDN. Just gotta handle consent updates in addition to make it work with google’s consent mode v2.
E.g. you can just set the defaults yourself before loading gtm and update them later
