Removing elements from the document flow is nothing short of a requirement if you’re designing for people using assistive technology to browse the web.
I think display
: none
is more commonly preferred, though of course there are cases where you might want to reserve space, and you can handle that with an HTML embed.
Best guess is that most designers don’t know the difference and really won’t benefit from having three ways to hide things ( if you include Webflow’s visibility: hidden setting which is a completely different thing that has nothing to do with styles. )
