Variables for Background Color Change on Navbar?

Hi everyone, I could use some guidance on this issue I’m facing.

I’m currently in the process of creating an interaction for my Navbar, and I want to change the background color from white to a specific shade, #516854, when the Navbar opens. I’ve defined this color as a variable called “green/mid” using CSS custom properties (var(–green–mid)). My question is, is there a straightforward way to select this variable for the background color, similar to how we used to select color swatches instead of manually entering the HEX code?

I’ve come across the “set variable Value” interaction action, but it doesn’t seem to fit the bill for this particular scenario. Am I missing something here?

I hope this clarifies my question, and I appreciate any help. Thank you!

Did you find a solution for this. Got the same question.

BUMP.

It’s weird that you can use variables everywhere else but not for animations…
