Upgrade plan after development phase

Hi, I have purchased a paid template from the marketplace for a client’s website. Can we use the basic plan and then swap to CMS plan if needed after the development phase is over? The template has CMS features so want to know what will happen to the template if we stick with basic

IIRC you cannot add a basic plan to a site that has collections, so you’d have to delete them and all of the collection pages and lists in order to work that way. Not ideal, you’d be deleting half ( or more ) of your purchased template.

Generally during the build process you’d either;

  • Use the free site plan, and a paid workspace plan then add your site plan once you’re ready to go live, or
  • Purchase the site plan when you need custom code or > 2 static pages, or hit some other free site plan limit.
