Trying to tie two elements together

I think I’m missing something elementary here… I have two images that I want to stack so that they appear to be a single element–the appearance will be of an image (which I’m planning to animate with a fade in) and a frame (which will not fade.) The problem is that the two images don’t stay perfectly aligned across breakpoints–I’ve put them in a div box to try to constrain them, but no joy. Do I really have to go through each screen type and adjust positioning manually, or is there a way to make the code keep the two elements together automatically?

I went back to rebuild the sample page where I was having the issue… and didn’t have the issue. Gremlins? Something simple I missed the first time? Not sure, but thanks, anyway!
