Tooltip z-index issue

Hi,
Looking for info to fine-tune the stacking order of my tooltips. I have two types of icon components that both display a tooltip on click (they’re more like a disclosure or caption). The z-index of them when viewed on narrower desktop and tablet views shows them under their neighboring icons, but the tooltips need to always be above any neighboring icons. See image below. Any insight to adjust is appreciated.

Tooltip is also going under text below even though it has a high z-index

Resolved: For anyone who comes across this page with the same issue, the parent container for the whole tooltip bundle has to have z-index set to auto.
