Thin black lines on edge of embedded YouTube Vid

Hi there,

I’ve embedded a YouTube-Video on my website (Section>Container>Video) and things are working fine, except for this thin black line appearing on either the left (when playing) or both left and right (when loading the page). I do know not everyone is able to see this for some reason and it might differ based on the browser and system used but, I’ve used the search option here and this seems to be a problem for several years now - unfortunately I didn’t find a suitable solution on how to deal with this.

Any ideas on how to remove this black line, it’s driving me nuts.

Do you see that with other videos? Could be in the video itself or due to the dimensions it was exported at.

You could change the aspect ratio of the video element.

  • Landscape removes the borders but crops the sides a little bit in the preview.
  • Widescreen still has a border but thinner.
