Text link animation works until I link to a real page

Howdy,
I have a hover state on my main links (100ms, 5px bottom-border) that functions fine in preview, UNTIL I actually link the text to an actual page. Then it just turns into a hard-cut rollover without the smooth animation. Check it out when you hover over the “design” link here (the only working link):

Any ideas?
