Animation appear when hovering over a different element

Trying to get my head around animation so working this as an example!

I’m trying to animate links to a different section similar to https://booreiland.amsterdam/ (click the menu in top right corner and then hover over about/jobs/contact)

I want to create a similar animation, where other text layers onto of another but is only seen when hovered over.

I have attached my idea so far (want to make ‘see the proof’ hidden until the mouse hovers over ‘projects’ and then for it to slide in from the left)
