I wanted to get the communities thoughts on how one would achieve this or something close:
If you click on “all pieces” you’ll see a circular type navigation and once you click on one, the animal morphs.

Wellcome to the community. Have you seen the new lottie animations tool? you can animate a lottie animation with a click or even while scrolling. So if you can make an animation on after effects you can pretty much imitate what your example website does. check out the tutorials at webflow university Web animations with After Effects & Lottie | Webflow University I hope this helps
