Is there a way of stopping the slug field in the CMS preopopulating with the Name field when typing it out? I would just like more control over what the slug says without having to go in and delete each slug field each time.

Do you mean like a custom algorithm for defaulting how the slug is formed? There isn’t anything I’m aware of in the designer, but you might be able to build something as a Webflow App that could give you added control here.
Alternately, you could create your records in advance, through CSV import or API and set the slug to what you want ( provided it does not conflict with an existing slug ), then go in and edit those and the name & slug are already there.
