Scrolling menu issue

I’ve decided to ask for help because I can’t find a solution… haha. The problem I’m having is that when I expand the menu, the block containing the logo and menu icon moves when scrolling. This also happens with the second menu that appears on scroll – when the user opens the menu and scrolls, the reduced logo and menu icon disappear.

The solution I’m considering is to keep the menu icon fixed and apply a maroon background when scrolling.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

hi @jselva the best way to get help is to follow the forum post guide that is pinned on top of each section, if you have missed it here they are.

When posting please:

  • Required: Share your project’s Read-Only link AND live site’s Published link
  • The read-only link is a special URL generated in the Dashboard to allow others to view your project in the Webflow Designer. How to get your project’s read-only link?
  • The published link is the webflow.io subdomain where you can view the live site with custom code running. It is important to share this link, as custom code does not run in the Designer.
  • Upload as many screenshots/screencast videos as possible to help others help you faster
  • Add a description and/or post a link to a working example of what you’re trying to achieve
  • Reply to users by tagging using the @ sign followed by their forum username like this: @jselva

Hello @Stan, done

hi @jselva Read only missing as your link is not performing the redirect.

HI @jselva you have some misunderstanding principles on how it should work. I suggest you will search for some navs that reveals on scroll in “made with Webflow” examples. Generally speaking, all you need is let’s say one fixed nav and apply while scrolling in view animation logic to your eg. hero and not scroll into view on nav itself.

Hope this will point you right direction

Thank you for your advice @Stan, but I’m not able to fix it. I think I have made it a bit complicated. Could you please provide me with the steps to solve one of the menus so that I can understand the logic? Thank you so much.

HI @jselva what research you have done on your own? Sorry, but I can’t give you step by step tutorial as there is a many resources how to.

You can start on WFU as they have a dedicated tutorial for it, you can also search this forum via the search input field as this request is solved here many times and finally, you can go to YT as there are also videos related to this interaction (including WFU).

Hope you will find in these sources an answer to your request. The Internet is an amazing tool and source of knowledge ;).

Finally, I have kept the floating menu icon, and it adjusts to both views through scrolling. A simpler option, I had made it a bit complicated, hehe.
