Reduce Unused Javascript of YouTube embed

Hey guys, I have a YouTube embed video on the home page, when the play icon is clicked, it opens a popup using interactions.

When I pull the website through PageSpeedInsights I get a really bad mobile score of round 25-30 and the main issue is “Reduce Unused Javascript” where I get the embed JS, but it’s being used, just not on first load.

It’s an iframe in a Embed block.

I followed this tutorial to defer the scripts but nothing changed.

I checked the whole forum but I didn’t find any topic similar to mine.

I hope someone can help me out!

If you can tolerate a double click to play just use a lightbox with a video. Your page speed will dramatically increase! There are custom code methods you can explore as well.

I have the same problem. In Wordpress it was working much better.

Does anyone know if that javascript code is for embeds only, or will it be added just by having a link to youtube(with no player showing on the page)?

Because that script is detected by google page speed, but I do not see an embedded video anywhere on the page or in the code.
