Popup Won't Close

I have created an email popup using a Mailchimp embedded element. I’ve used interactions to open it up but for whatever reason I can’t seem to get the interaction to close it. Not sure why it won’t work, basically just the reverse. Have tried just about everything and I can’t figure it out.

If you have a better way of creating a popup using a basic Mailchimp account that would also work lol.

Hi there,

To create a close functionality for your Mailchimp popup in Webflow, follow these steps:

  1. Select your close button element (typically an X icon or Close button)
  2. Open the Interactions panel
  3. Add a Mouse Click trigger
  4. Create a new animation
  5. Set the animation timing (recommended 0.3s)
  6. Add an opacity transform and set it to 0%
  7. In the Settings tab of the animation, set the display to “None” after the animation completes
  8. Apply this interaction to the entire popup wrapper element to ensure everything closes properly

For best results, ensure your popup wrapper element contains all Mailchimp-related elements and that the close button is properly positioned within the wrapper.
