Well, I am not a fan of Wordpress for sure, but I am glad to see the new generation of visual tools, slowly yet steadily, coming forward. Emerging competition is a good thing.

Meh. I would say Frontpage and Dreamweaver started it. 
Live editor = in-browser html/css editor. “Started” = first being widely used.
Well if we’re going that route you could probably say SquareSpace or some of the themes off Themeforest that are a few years old. This pagelines thing is really nothing new, just another option.
