On a published project, the quality of photos is very reduced

Good afternoon. We are currently working on a website for the photographer. And it is very important for us to convey the quality of the photos. For this purpose, we upload larger photos to Assets. And in the Webflow preview, everything looks magically beautiful. But when publishing, apparently, Webflow compresses and optimizes photos. Probably, to speed up the loading of the page… But, at the same time, some photos become of unacceptable quality for us. Tell me, how can I cancel this photo compression when publishing? Please share a possible solution.

There is a page in the Webflow University that I recommend you review if you haven’t.
It should help you resolve your issue.

If you disable reponsive image, you should limit the size of what you upload. 2x the max display width is more than enough. You should also consider uploading an optimized webp image where you will have more control over the quality. Unfortunately WF does not offer format fallback. Personally I don’t find WF a good fit for gallery sites for a number of other reasons as well.

If you are still stuck, let us know.
