Navbar colour change instantly on scroll

Hi everyone,

I would like to have my navbar to instantly change colour on scroll and saw a custom code that would make that happen.
Somehow when I copy past it to the header and footer custom code field, it does not work for me.

Is there any other way to trigger the colour change of the navbar from the first scroll?
