I’ve linked nav menu items to section iD’s, but nav menu is covering part of the section when it arrives on scroll. Can you please take a look at what I’m doing wrong?
Hi again Rob as I told you in a PM, it’s not a bug, you’ve been breaking some unwritten rules in order for the offset-when-navbar-is-fixed to work.
I write it again here for others.
You need to respect a series of rules. Some are mandatory, some are healthy, some you respect, some you don’t.
— healthy: name your IDs sections with simple 1 word name, no caps, no space, no dash
— mandatory: put IDs on sections at the top of the hierarchy, not down the hierarchy
— mandatory: have only one Webflow Navbar element.
I deleted the mobile navbar, added a top level section with a clean ID name and look how it nicely stops under your nav:
Try to rework your page respecting those rules. Craft a hand made nav for mobile if you really need to, not using the Webflow Navbar element. Put and use IDs on top level elements.
Edit : I have updated the blog post where I wrote abut this issue with those new rules:
