My website jumps to a section in the middle on load

Hi!

I have an annoying problem that I don’t know how to fix. When I first load my website, the focus jumps to a section in the middle of the page (completely by passing the top of the page). This only happens on the tablet and mobile views, but I have no idea how to fix it.

I do have an object that when you tap it, it also has an in page link to this section, but I tried removing this and it doesn’t solve the problem, so I don’t think it’s that. if anyone has some good suggestions I’d be so thankful!

Here’s my webflow dev link: http://jenmarosticaportfolio201501.webflow.com/#portfolio

Thanks!
Jen

Hi @Jen_Marostica, thanks for your post. Generally that happens when there is a form field, with the autofocus checkbox checked for some field in the form. I did not see a form element on the page though. If you could please share the read-only link to your site, we can take a look further  .

Hi,

Is it not just because you’ve tested your page jump (which updates the url) and you haven’t removed that from the url since on refreshes/sending around to people etc. - if I remove #portfolio from your url (which appears on page jump link) then your site starts at the top.

This is a normal thing that page jumps do to your url. Be certain to send people the url without any page jump bits on the url and it should be fine in future for users.

Cheers
