Mobile Site with video autoplay crashes browser

Hi all,
I’ve created a portfolio site which uses ten 16:9 autoplay videos on desktop which change to 4:5 aspect ratio on mobile. On desktop everything plays and works as it should, but on mobile the browser crashes almost all the time.

I haven’t been able to figure out why this is happening. Is it because 10 autoplay videos are too much and overloading it? Should I change to static images instead or limit the number of videos that autoplay in mobile to 3 for example?

I would definitely find an alternative. Autoplay of videos often doesn’t work for mobile to prevent massive data usage.

Your videos are around 1–3 MB each. I personally wouldn’t want 10 of those to be loaded on my mobile data.

I guess my only option will be to make them static instead then.
