Hi there,
I’m trying to use a lightbox to open a YouTube video but it’s not working - when I paste the link into the add video media field - it keeps saying “invalid video link”.
Vimeo links work fine.
I’ve tried around 10 different YouTube video URLs - and I’ve checked to make sure that there are no embedding restrictions on a couple of those videos.
Anyone else having this issue? Or anyone able to replicate it?
@Diarmuid_Sexton I have the same problem here. Also receiving the note “invalid video link”…
Try coping the URL from the browser address bar and not the share link. See if that resolves the issue.

I’ve tried that but no joy 
@webdev it’s an issue with Embed.ly. Seems quite major. Still no response from them to our bug report almost 20 hours ago.

Embedly is having this issue. Since it their issue we have no idea when this will be fixed.

Embed.ly has a forum? Need to take a look.
We’ve implemented a temporary workaround with a custom embed in rich-text but it’s not ideal.

Embedly’s status page mentions a fix :
But when I try on a client’s site to add a video via the CMS it still show the error message. Is there something we need to do on our side or just wait ?
