Lightbox from CMS

Hello!

I’m trying to use the CMS functionality to display different building projects on my homepage. That works so far (See the projects section). Now I want to show an overlay with a lightbox or something similar when I click on the individual project. Like in this screenshot from the design:

I don’t want to link to an individual page for each project. I understand that I can’t grab the pictures from the multi-image field in the CMS as long as I’m not on a collection page. What other options do I have? I’m a bit lost here…

Oh, and the page only works on desktop so far.

As long as the images are on the page, you can turn them into a lightbox. Creating the groups dynamically will be the trickier part, you may need to use an external lightbox solution like fancybox.
