Layer disappears in Safari

I have an SVG Layer on top of a gradient to achieve a changing gradient effect.

It works perfectly fine in Chrome, and in Safari on my mobile, but in Safari web browser the text layer completely disappears… leaving just the gradient

Can someone confirm this is how it looks for them in safari, too?
p.s. Please let me know what Safari version you have. (mine is Safari Version 14.1.2)

oopsie though… the black text overlay is supposed to be 100vw, so that the gradient only shows within the letters – can you please check again now?
