I just started playing around with IX3 / GSAP and i love it.
However i am searching for a mouse movement interaction trigger. Is there just nothing provided for now to implement such mouse movement interactions like we know from IX2 - or do i miss something here?
You can create mouse movement interactions in Webflow using the “Mouse move over element” trigger. Here’s how to set it up:
Select the element you want to animate
Open the Interactions panel (keyboard shortcut: H)
Click the plus sign (+) next to “On Selected Element”
Choose “Mouse move over element” from the trigger dropdown menu
In the Timeline panel that appears, add the animations you want to trigger
Adjust the Move settings in the Interaction Settings panel to control how the element responds to mouse movement
You can enhance the interaction by adjusting parameters like move distance, speed, and easing to create smooth, responsive animations that match your design needs.
Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.
i can’t find the “Mouse move over element” from the trigger dropdown menu. to clarify: i use IX3 (the new interactions with GSAP) and i dont want to mix old and new ones as i think its a performance issue and problem loading both, jquery and gsap libraries for animations.
If you want to have an interaction setup based on the cursor position, I came across this thread in the forums few days before and it seems it is on their to-do list currently.
