Issue with grid

I’d love if someone could help with a grid issue.

I’m trying to set up a 2 column grid with images and one of the images overlaps the other like the screenshot posted.

Create a 12 column grid, use manual position to set Pic 1 - column 3-6, Pic 2 - Column 6-11.

Set each pic to relative and Use the Z Index to control layer order.
