Building a Webflow app with an image catalog you can add to your project. But they only insert as Custom Elements, not Images. This means you miss out on some Image settings like easy lazy load and 2x size setup.
Is there any way that the Webflow app could insert an Image type element with our own image instead of a Custom Element?

This is currently not possible with our Designer API’s, however it is something that is on the team’s roadmap.
You could try setting this by adding a custom attribute to the element with loading="lazy" for example. I’m not 100% sure if that will work, but is worth a try as that is what Webflow adds to the images on the published site.
