In-page linking works on preview but not on published site

Hi,

My in-page linking works on preview but not on published site. On the published site, the link is just gets “#” as the slug, instead of “#[section ID]”.

Any idea what I could be doing wrong?
I would share my preview project or published site, but it’s password protected due to private work.
