How to set look and feel of active tab

I have an image representing the selection of my tabs. How would I change the color of the image for the “active” tab. I currently have a hover over effect where the icons change to orange. I would like this orange color to stay when a tab is selected. Any help is appreciated!

So-
change the grayscale filter to be on the tabs_main element, and then you can play with the state of it: Normal/Hover/Current.
