How To? Sell Gated Streamed Content

Hi,

I’m working on something I feel like should be really simple, but I keep going around in circles with solutions.

I’m trying to get this functionality

  1. Someone watches a video trailer
  2. They purchase that video
  3. They’re taken to that gated page, where they can watch the entire streamed (not downloaded) video

Does anyone have any advice, tips or help with this? I’ve spoken with Foxy, but that doesn’t seem like it’s going to work. I’ve had a look at Memberstack, but I’ve just not found anyone who says they’ve done this where it’s selling individual videos, I know it must be possible somehow! But I know Webflow’s Ecommerce is really limited at the moment.

Hi @kaitlynb! Here are a couple of examples of Memberstack sites using it to gate videos:

I’d recommend using a tool like Vimeo Pro to host the video since it allows you to restrict that videos be played only via certain URLs (which can be gated via Memberstack). Hope that helps! :smiley:
