How to require reCAPTCHA on Webflow form?

Hi there!

How do I require the reCAPTCHA (I am not a robot) to be selected before submitting? Currently on our site: https://www.phoamlabs.com/, you can submit the form without checking this.

Thank you in advance!

Hello @Olivia, here is the documentation on how you add reCAPTCHA your site Add a reCAPTCHA field - Webflow University Documentation
basically you have to use the reCAPTCHA component from the forms components and have your client, or the owner of a site, to activate reCAPTCHA with Google. It is simpler that it sounds. I hope this helps!

Hi Pablo! I have added it correctly but it it’s not a required function in the form. I am able to submit a form without checking off ‘I am not a robot’.

Trying to resolve this >>> do you know how?

ReCAPTCHA is working fine.

Hi not sure if there’s confusion but I am aware it exists on the page. The issue is that it’s not required and you can submit the form without checking reCAPTCHA. Does that make sense? I’ve submitted forms testing this and I would like it to be required.

Hey @Olivia, are you submitting your form to a third party provider, or is it just a regular Webflow form? reCAPTCHA does not work whit third party submissions, unless you use a custom html embed.

Hi Olivia! As far as I know, it’s not supposed to request an extra verification all the time.

Google tracks your activity as user over more websites and understands whether you are a robot or not. For example, the way you move your mouse until checking “I’m not a robot” is a verification itself. It might ask for extra verifications like selecting images, etc, when it’s not sure you are a real user.

The reCaptcha seems to be working fine on your website. If you get a submission from test@test.com, sorry, it was just me testing the form on your website.

Hope it helps!

Hi Pablo + Karlee!

Pablo - it’s a regular Webflow form, I see that it’s added and clickable I just wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be required before anyone can submit!

Karlee - good to know! Thanks so much. Guess it’s all set up!
