How do I use javascript to multiply a price entered in a cms item

Hi there everyone,

I’m busy trying to recreate a design studio I coded by hand about a year ago in webflow. My client wants to be able to use the webflow CMS to change certain elements in the design studio.

It would work like this: editor changes the price field of collection item → javascript catches the price field on page load and then adds it to the other price fields, (of other cms items).

Right now I’m trying to get js to catch the price field of individual cms items but I do not know how to do this. If I give the price field an ID tag, all the cms items get the same ID tag which makes it impossible to do calculations with them.

Here’s an example of the design studio right now (not running on webflow cms): https://istill.eu/designcenter

Hi @vaneijkchris.
We can definitely help you with something like this. In fact, we’ve helped many Webflow users with a similar setup where everything is sent through Foxy as an order or quote system. We can even show you how to populate options with Webflow’s CMS.

You can learn more about Foxy + Webflow here: Webflow | Foxy.io Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can be of assistance.

Thanks,
Josh
