Hide empty elements from CMS

Hi,

I need to hide a collection that is empty on two page. In another closed thread from this forum said that you have to remove the padding, mine doesn’t have it. In the preview mode looks fine but in the web said “no items found” You can see it here: http://belgravia-advisers.webflow.io/category/work-experience

Here is my public share link: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/belgravia-advisers?preview=935d95624a725e32c688c2ded6fafa5d

Please help!

Thank you

Valentina

Hi @vadelfino,

Good question. To view your empty state:

  1. Select your collection
  2. Change UI state from “Items” to “Empty”

Then, you can visually make the necessary changes to the empty state.

You can view these steps in the following video:

Hopefully this helps.

Best regards,
Micah

Thank you Micah, it was a bug and is already solved. Here I copy the mail from customer support:

Hello Valentina!

Thank you for reaching out, andI understand your concern.

It looks like you’ve discovered a bug where empty collection lists are not respecting their CSS. I have a workaround for you:

Select the Collection List from the Navigator and click “Empty State”
Delete the Text Block inside
Change the Padding to 0 on all sides of the Empty State
Publish your changes!
I made a quick video showing the workaround here: Screen Recording 2017-11-14...

Please let me know if you have other questions – I’m always happy to help!

My Best,

Andrew
