Hi
I’m new to Webflow and have little experience, I’m trying to create a smooth menu.
I can’t access the drop-downs because of some interaction. How can I easily keep the interactions/animations but at the same time see the dropdown when I edit things Is it possible to have some setting so everything I mark in the navigation automatically appears?
As you can see I can see the elements to the left in the navigator, but it’s invisible on the editor.
To be able to see the items I need to go into the preview mode and interact with the menu. And when I leave the preview mode the dropdown disappears and I fumble in the dark again
One way to do this is to have the editable content within a cms collection that can be edited outside of the in-page Editor.
For non-cms sites: Bit of a hack, but when I have elements that cannot be edited in-page using the Editor (due to its visibility being turned off) I will create a component of that content. Then place the component in a wrapper. I then use this wrapper element for my visibility interaction.
Then, I place the component on a non-indexed page that the client can access to make changes since the non-wrapped version remains visible. When they make an edit to the component, it also gets updated in the version that’s wrapped for the interaction.
