So CMS Plan says 2000 CMS items, in simple terms after 2000 blog post ( and 10,000 for Business plan) I would need to upgrade ?
Well, after you exceed the 10,000 items in the business plan, you’d need to get Webflow’s enterprise solution and would most likely have to get in touch with them directly to enquire about costs etc. You can also read more about this in their pricing section under “site plans”: Plans & pricing | Webflow
I can only create 20 of these ( I only listed 5 above for example ) and within these, can only have 2000 individual post in total.
Yes, this is correct, you can create up to 20 individual CMS collections (events collection, competitions collection etc.) per project which can hold up to 2000 blog posts in total. More if you choose a more expensive site plan.
Also for static page , I m thinking these are like landing pages and within that every project follows the same template I design for collection items.
Static pages are pages like your homepage, your about page, contact page etc. or even a page that includes a collection list - in your case this might be a page called “competitions” with an overview of all your “competitions” blog posts.
And for every CMS collection you have a separate collection page template, which ensures that the layout for each of your “competition” blog posts is the same. For instance on Arch Daily, their “competition” blog post template would look like this: Melbourne Affordable Housing Challenge | ArchDaily If you check out some of their other blog posts in the “competition” section, you’ll see that the layout is exactly the same, only the content changes.
Also with large amount of images hosted per project, will CMS plan be sufficient with fast load times.
You just have to make sure that you optimise the file size (and image dimensions) sufficiently, otherwise load times will be a problem.
Hope this helped you a little bit!
