Form Submission only coming to one email address

Hello!

I have form submissions going to two email addresses, separated by a comma. It has worked well previously, but stopped after the client renewed their Google Workspace. It’s still working on a secondary email (not on the same Google Workspace). Otherwise nothing has changed. I’ve tried removing it, saving/publishing, and re-adding it and saving/publishing, but it’s still not working. Any tips? Thanks!

I’d verify the form and configuration are working right first- add your own email, publish to staging, do a form submission test and make sure you get that email.

If that’s good, you can assume Webflow’s side is working fine, and that the only likely possibilities are-

  • Typo in the email
  • Some kind of problem at the receiver’s end

First one is easy to check- copy it, send them an email directly, just to be certain. Sanity checks seem trivial but they often help you identify important things.

If that works it’s a receiver end issue. Have them check spam, routing rules, etc, and possibly contact Google. They should be able to whitelist the email sender address also which may help.

If none of that is giving you joy, I’d pivot, e.g.;

  • Setup a rule on email 1 to forward all received emails from webflow to email 2, see if that prevents the blocking.

  • Switch to a 3rd party form handler like Basin.

  • Stop emailing responses and instead push them into a lead tracking system like Pipedrive, Salesforce, etc. using some automation programming.

Webflow support might have some greater visibility as well, e.g. bounceback logs or something that could tell you more.
