Float a Div block inside column parent element duplicates block

I am attempting to float a an image block above one of the two columns. I set the column below to relative and the div block above to absolute. Then, when I try to change the positioning of the div block, an identical block is produced in the sister column of the parent column element.

Here’s the Wix site, Finished. I am migrating to webflow because of limitations in Wix and shitty responsiveness. What I’m referring to in this post is the image on the far right of the opening screen of the site, surely my photo will have similar problems when I get to that.
