Filter effect - Effecting Hero Section Background by Hovering on different elements on the page

So am just wondering if one can manipulate filter effects on different elements when interacting with elements, via interactions or otherwise.

I have a background image on the hero section which is in color.

When I hover over the icons in the hero section - I would like to turn the hero background image to black and white.

Not sure if interactions allow us to manipulate these properties on other elements.

Unfortunately filters are not yet accessible via interactions. I just created a wish list item for this feature to be added. You can do this with custom code though.
