Subject: Feedback on Free Plan Limitations – Restrictive for Learning & Practice
To the Webflow Team,
I hope you’re doing well.
I’m a student and aspiring designer who recently started using Webflow to learn web design and development. I truly admire the platform and how it empowers creatives to build visually stunning and responsive websites without needing to code. However, I wanted to share some honest feedback that I believe many new users may also be experiencing.
Currently, the Free Plan limits users to only 2 static pages per project — one of which is typically used for a style guide, leaving just one usable page for actual layout and content practice. As someone trying to learn and understand the structure of modern websites (which commonly include multiple pages like Home, About, Services, Contact, etc.), this limitation feels extremely discouraging and impractical.
I understand the need for paid tiers for hosting and advanced features, but learning the software itself shouldn’t be gated behind such tight restrictions. At the very least, it would be incredibly helpful if Webflow allowed 5–6 pages for free users who are learning and not planning to host anything publicly.
My intention is not to publish or host a live website — I simply want to learn Webflow properly, test multi-page layouts, and grow my skills before I consider upgrading to a paid plan in the future.
Please consider relaxing the page limit for non-commercial learners, or perhaps introducing a “Learning Mode” or “Student Sandbox” that allows more flexibility in design without publishing.
Thank you for building such an incredible tool, and I hope you’ll consider this feedback seriously. It would make a huge difference for beginners like myself who are eager to learn and grow with Webflow.
Sincerely,
Sharjeel arshad
