Externally linking to a popup modal

Hello all,

Ive been trying to wrap my head around how to link to a already opened mdal within my website.
My modal is nestled within the navigation bar that I got help from memetican, so grateful for that but the next hurdle is coming from my client needing an external link that will redirect users to the お問い合わせ(contact us) modal.

Ive tried using @DuncanHamra’s method using
#31 - Open a Webflow Tab with a Link member stack code, but I’ve been unsuccessful with it, either links not being able to be placed in certain areas or things not opening.

I even tried to directly use the template provided but to no avail, its like you do one thing and elsewhere something breaks, any help provided would be fantastic.

Do you mean a link that you share publicly, like-
https://www.mysite.com#contact that will open the page and then open the modal on top of it?

Or do you mean an external ( outbound ) link from your site, that when someone clicks it, you want the modal to appear, like a gated exit?

How you build either depends on how your modal works, is it built with Webflow Interactions?

oh! I havent treid the https://www.mysite.com#contact method.

I will try that now, otherwise I meant an external site that links to my webflow site and within the site the modal is opened.
