Dynamic list sort options in CMS?

I noticed the ability to sort dynamic lists by recency and alphabetically… however I don’t see the option to arrange/sort in a custom order. Think products. For example, say I create a dynamic list on a static page and it is designed to show 6 featured items. But I want to featured 6 items in a specific order instead of by recency or alphabetically… how would this be accomplished?

We don’t yet have custom sorting of dynamic lists. But this is a great suggestion to add to our wish list.
