I think the results page only shows the first 3 characters of the search query. In my case, this is a problem because I use catalog references — for example, “130560”.
When a user searches for this product, they might see other results like “130112” or “130992”, which I don’t want to appear.
Is there a way to configure or edit this behavior so that it only shows exact matches or results that start with the full reference?

I am not sure how specific and narrowed down we can make the default search element in Webflow. You could probably try out Jetboost or Finsweet Filters if you are aiming to search through a collection list and want more control of what fields to take into consideration to base the search results on.
Yeah as AJ said you have virtually no ability to configure how site search indexes or queries that index.
Most likely Finsweet List Filter or Jetboost is the way you want to go, you’d make this a separate search.
It’s also possible to hybridize your search page so that it contains both full text results and controlled results from Finsweet List Filter, based on the same search term, which I setup when I want e.g. product searches.
Beyond that you’d need to integrate a 3rd party search solution.
