Disable background when the menu is open

Hello

Could be a silly question -

I was playing around with a flex box menu - when I hit a wall.

  1. Is there a way to disable the interactions or disabling the items behind the menu when it’s open ?
    E.g. This is to prevent page scroll etc when the menu is open… OR even blurring like an overlay on everything behind the menu…

  2. Any tutorials for the same ?
