Connecting Hotjar to my web (starter plan)

Hi,

I just published my website using this platform for the first time. It has 2 main pages and 3 CMS collections, which are like 3 extra pages.

Everything’s working well on the starter plan. I want to add Hotjar’s code to the custom section, but it’s asking to “Add a site plan”, Isn’t the “starter plan” sufficient? Does this mean I need to buy a domain?

Both the Workspace Starter plan and the Site Starter plan are free.
Webflow set them up so that you can try all of the basic features for free, but that doesn’t mean free hosting.

In particular, you cannot use the custom code features when both the workspace and site are on Starter plans.

If you want to have a public site, you’ll want to add a paid Site plan, and if you’re using the CMS, you’ll need the CMS plan. With that you can add your hotjar code, and typically you’d add a custom domain as well.
