Collections Images Not Showing Up

Hi,

I am new to webflow and have been reading up on webflow university but I am still confused on collections and how they should be properly used… I am building a portfolio site and I understood how everything was working on the homepage and in my first collection which is named “Projects” but things are getting a little hairy. For example, I made a Vids collections with a project in there for videos and animations, I made my fields, put in the content in the CMS and it is not loading in the designer. Which is weird because when I made the original Projects collection things just populated on the page in designer and I was able to edit/change things. I feel like if I put the content into the CMS it should show in the designer, otherwise I am doing double the work no?

No, creating your CMS collection and building out your interface ( on the CMS page and in collection lists ) are separate things.

One is data modeling, the other is design. One is growing vegetables, the other is making a salad. They’re different things.

Webflow doesn’t automatically do the design for you, not until it can read minds.

Webflow University has a ton of videos and courses that will help.
